On November 1st, 2018 Mrs. Simila's 2nd grade class participated in National Outdoor Classroom Day. They took the learning outdoors and conducted a science lab in the outdoor classroom garden area as part of the new Science FOSS unit on solids and liquids. Students set out on a search for puddles, tried creating puddles, and then took water samples all while having engaging and meaningful conversations around their observations. All in all, it was a sun filled, fun science lab in the great outdoors!
